JAN'S WORK IN PROGRESS
New works have begun...You can follow my work on these Pages.
Simply click on the painting that interests you to enterthat paintings gallery page.
I'll be posting photos of new works in progress through the coming weeks.

Because of the fast changes in the weather ( besides my small easel and color boxes )
these days I now carry a digital camera with me. There was a time when the sky was almost
absolute for as much as a half hour to an hour....these days...the sky changes about
every 7-10 minutes.

"Monomoy Morning"
This is one of my favorite scenes on Nantucket. I love to paint the salt marsh inlets in every season.

I had decided to paint this oil on 4ply rag museum board...I enjoy the experience of painting on this surface.

SOMES SOUND ~ MT. DESERT ISLAND
I make a concious effort to go to Mt. Desert Island to paint whenever I can. The height of the over views and depth of the harbors are an interesting change for my painter's eyes.

THE EDGE OF BLUE
For many years, I've enjoyed Painting three favorite views of the Pamet river and mostly in the fall months. I love how the fall foliage resounds against the rivers blues. be sure to check back on occasion to view my progress.

The Image measures 3' x4' and is being done in oil. I like to work on several images to split up the week working between medias...It helps to clear my vision. This piece will take about six weeks to complete since I like to work layers in full color...and also in glazes. The cost of the work is $7,500.00 framed.
